ZooOHttly in Langkawi | Day 1: Duty Free Shopping, SkyBridge

by - September 08, 2016

WE FINALLY WENT FOR A TRIP TOGETHER!
It was kind of a spontaneous decision I supposed? We brought up this trip topic during one of vv's birthday, did a little bit of research for the flight prices and accommodation, quickly ran a poll among the gang, chose the dates and bought the air tickets to Langkawi around mid-April. There was a total of 13 out of 26 members of the zooohttly.

31 July 2016 (Sunday)

D-day!
We departed to Langkawi in 2 batches as we couldn't get the promo fare for 13 of us.

Sue Wen continued her henna service at the airport because we had lots of time hahaha. If you're interested for a personal henna artist, pm me for more details ;) I promise you'd be 100% satisfied with her artwork!

After the arrival of batch 2, we left the airport to Pantai Cenang with the 2 cars we rented. It was just a short 10 minutes drive there.

We decided that it was too hot to actually chill at the beach, therefore we walked over to Cenang Mall and did some duty free shopping. (More like window shopping, making noises in the shop, eating free sample chocolates, making puns with the name of the chocolates.. )

After that, we headed for lunch at one of the warungs at cenang, went over to Underwater Langkawi just to take a look and finally decided not to enter, and went to more duty free shops.

How to point your middle finger gracefully: you need to have a henna.

Next, we drove around 20 minutes to go on the Langkawi Skybridge. This place is a must-visit if you visit Langkawi!
We took the RM30 package which is inclusive of the cable car ride, the SkyDome and SkyRex. Other packages can be found on their website as well :)

I think this SkyDome thing was just to entertain the visitors if there's a long queue??

In order to go on the suspension bridge, we had to pay an additional RM5 at the top station to enter through the SkyTrail. It was quite a long walk with really steep stairs. Also, there's this tram named the SkyGlide which will bring you to the bridge too. It's a short 2 minutes ride and it costs RM15 if I'm not mistaken.

Sue Wen and Heng Yee did not go on the bridge with us, so yea spot them in the photo below!

Photos taken by Heng Yee when we were on the bridge-

Just simply love the weather up thereeee

Most of the photos turned out like this.... #thankswind

There's also this small rabbit farm where you can enter for free.

We went over to the SkyRex where we spent around 5 minutes for the 4D show/ride.

Later on, we headed to Kuah town and had/dapao dinner at the Padang Matsirat night market.

We dropped by one of the supermarkets and grabbed some groceries before heading back to our homestay at Tanjung Rhu, had our late dinner, 13 of us took turns to shower in 2 bathrooms, went to bed and that's all for day 1!
