ZooOHttly in Langkawi | Day 2: Kilim Geoforest Park, Black Sand Beach, Tanjung Rhu Beach

by - October 31, 2016

1 August 2016 (Monday)

On this day, we went for a mangrove tour at the Kilim Karst Geoforest Park which is around 20 minutes' drive away from Tanjung Rhu. This is definitely an adventure you wouldn't want to miss!
There are a number of packages available and we took the 2-3hours one with the boat all to ourselves.

While waiting...

We couldn't go in the Crocodile Cave as there was a high tide.

We actually travelled quite far from the shore and the internet connection got cut off. We even started receiving sms from telecom companies welcoming us to Thailand/Vietnam.
Helang!

And then our tour-guide who was the boat driver stopped at this Blue Lagoon. We weren't expecting anything when we were told there was a lake in there but we were truly amazed and stayed much longer than the time we were given :p

The fish farm-

touching the stingray!

The Bat Cave-

We didn't take the package that includes lunch therefore we stopped by one of the roadside warungs after we left.

We then headed to the Black Sand Beach (Pantai Pasir Hitam). It was..... mhm quite disappointing as it was just partially black and not really the black kind of black.

After that, we went back to our homestay to get ourselves changed and headed to the Tanjung Rhu Beach. (Cenang Beach is actually prettier with softer sand and cheaper water sports but it was much more crowded)

and while waiting for our turn to shower...

We had thai food for dinner at Wan Thai Restaurant.

We managed to take some photos of the starry night too!

After showering, we gathered at the living room upstairs, played games with poker cards, settled with the money and went to bed.
