Perth City Attractions & Must-Eats | Winter in WA

Kings Park and Botanic Garden
We hopped on bus number 37 and it got us to Kings Park. The park overlooks the Swan River and it's a nice place to look at the panoramic view of Perth be it day or night. It is a really huge park located at the city, perfect place to have a picnic and spend half a day there.

State War Memorial at Kings Park-

Sit at both ends of the same side of the wall
with your friend and talk to each other in a low voice. The sound will be transmitted through the walls!

We walked till the other end of the park and climbed 101 steps up the DNA tower. It was totally worth it.

Elizabeth Quay

We were lucky enough to see the dolphins swimming!

The Bell Tower
The iconic landmark of Perth and popular tourist destination located at Barrack Square. You can pay $18 and join the bell tower experience which includes a bell chiming demonstration and access to the observation deck.

Crawley Edge Boatshed (aka Blue Boat House)
The boatshed was constructed in the early 1930s. It is located along the Swan River, just beside the road and has become a popular spot for photos.

St Mary's Cathedral
Another place in the city with beautiful architecture! But sadly it was under renovation when we visited the cathedral :(

London Court
One of the heritage listed shopping destinations linking Hay Street Mall and St Georges Terrace. There are cafes, boutiques and souvenir shops inside. Didn't get to take much photos because part of it was under renovation (AGAIN :c)

Hay Street, Murray Street
There are lots of shops located here so it's a nice place to do some shopping!

Perth Eats
I find the food in the city slightly cheaper than the shops located at Cappuccino Strip in Fremantle.

Ribs & Burgers
Definitely a must-try restaurant when you come to Perth. You can always trust me when I say this hehe. The price is also quite standard and acceptable for what they serve.

THE BACON AND CHEESE BURGER WAS SO DELICIOUS. The ribs were just okay imo, tasted better ones elsewhere. (or maybe because I ate the burger first and it was too good so I don't think the ribs were on par with the burger or maybe because the one we ordered is the cheapest LOL) The milkshake is just okay as well, so you can actually skip that.

Taka's Kitchen
A must-visit too especially when you're low on budget/ sick of western food after a few days. It's one of the "cheap eats" in Perth. FYI, the portion for large is really huge, enough for 2 to share and they provide free hot tea too!

Corica Pastries
Grabbed a box of the famous apple strudel after reading all the recommendations on the internet. We purposely went to Northbridge for this and rushed to the airport after buying it lol luckily it didn't disappoint!
