30 December 2015 (Wednesday)

On this day, we had to move out from our apartment to the next homestay because it was booked by other tourists. Therefore, we had a light schedule around the city. After having a simple breakfast in our apartment we departed to our destination, Bukchon Hanok Village (북촌한옥마을). It is located in the same area as Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace, so it's recommended to visit these 3 places at one go. This is a place at Seoul where hundreds of traditional houses are located. We dropped by the tourist information center on the way and grabbed a map of the area.

After walking around Gangnam (view part 1 here), we headed back to Myeongdong to visit the iconic landmark and famous tourist spot, N Seoul Tower (N 서울타워). I was soooooooooo worried that we couldn't reach there before sunset but thankfully we managed to! 

We chose to take the cable car up rather than the bus. It was just a short 3 minutes trip up and each cable car can accommodate around 30 people. 

Directions: Turn left when you exit Myeongdong Station (Line 4) Exit 3, walk for about 15 minutes following the street of the right side of the Pacific Hotel.

29 December 2015 (Tuesday)

After travelling to distant places the day before, we decided to have a less hectic day and just stay within Seoul. We woke up slightly later and went over to Gangnam district after breakfast. I've seen this K-Star Road on some websites but didn't look into further details because it was a last minute decision to go there. It is a special project of Gangnam-gu for foreign tourists who love Korean culture and hallyu stars. Our apartment was at Chungmuro station, therefore we just took the subway to Apgujeong which is on the same line.

Directions: Take the subway to Apgujeong Rodeo Station (Bundang Line in yellow), proceed to exit 2 and the whole street down is the K-Star Road.

We left from Petite France at 3:50pm and it took us around 45 minutes to reach The Garden of Morning Calm via the Gapyeong City Bus. The journey wasn't fun at all. The roads that lead there are like those at Cameron Highlands, or maybe even worse, plus we were all standing in the bus. Anyways, everything was worth it.

28th December 2015 (Monday)

For this day, we decided to travel out of Seoul to Gyeonggi province. The popular attractions you've probably heard of in Gyeonggi-do are Nami Island (남이섬), Petite France (쁘띠프랑스) and The Garden of Morning Calm (아침고요수목원). We traveled to Gapyeong via the normal subway and it took us around 2 hours plus (somehow ended up at the wrong terminal, almost got on to the wrong train etc). 

27th December 2015 (Sunday)

This was our last day in Busan. We headed to our very last destination here, which is just a few minutes walk away from the hotel- Jagalchi Fish Market (자갈치시장). This market is the largest seafood market in Korea.

Directions: Take the metro to Jagalchi Station (Orange Line 1), get out at exit 10, turn right into Jagalchi 3(sam)-gil street, walk for 5 minutes, turn left and you shall reach the building.

For this day, we decided to travel down to Taejongdae and to the eastern part of Busan. Taejongdae Resort Park is one of the most famous tourist spots here and hence a must-visit when you travel to Busan!

Directions: From Nampo station (Orange Line 1) exit 6, walk to the bus stop (it's located at the opposite street of Lotte Department Store), hop on bus number 8/30/88 and alight at Taejongdae Station. The bus ride takes around 35minutes.

TBH the original plan was to travel to Japan, but dad was quite indecisive and the prices got up really high and therefore we ended up travelling to Korea. We booked the air tickets in October and I remember I got really excited and ended up doing lots of research when I am supposed to study for AS *coughs* We (more like mum & I) decided to plan the trip by ourselves rather than to follow a tour.
