Keukenhof and Zaanse Schans in Spring | Of Tulips and Windmills
I am sooooo happy to tick Keukenhof off my bucket list!
We bought the entrance tickets beforehand on their website for €29.5 which includes the transport to Keukenhof as well. On that day itself, we boarded the earliest shuttle bus to Keukenhof after checking the bus times on the 9292.nl and touristbuddy website.
Tip: Be there as early as possible because the crowd got real bad when we were about to leave around noon!
The tulips were beautiful but it was such a waste that we didn't go cycling around the ocean of tulips :( Definitely returning to Lisse for that in the future during Spring.

Zaanse Schans is one of the other popular destinations to visit when you're in the Netherlands. We took the bus instead of the train because it reaches the visitor center directly and it's also cheaper. It was really really windy and coldddddddddd and it was abit foggy on the day we went so we didn't fully enjoyed it nor took lots of pictures over there bc we obviously weren't expecting that weather. Tip: wear warmer clothing when you visit hahah.
The windmills produce different products each and so we picked the wooden one to visit. It was interesting to be inside the windmill and learn how the wind aids their production line (and also temporarily escape from the cold).
And also, the iconic gigantic yellow clogs!
Thanks for reading and sorry for the very delayed post :|
