Was thinking whether to join this trip at first, thinking of zoo animals gonna watch chucky, miss chuli's tuition, mum might not be joining cause she just got back from hanoi....
TADAAA i'm there! Main reason: mum's going. Yep, the 16-year-old girl 15+ years old girl, me, is super duper overly attached to mummy. She got me a light pink singlet from Hanoi, well seriously love at first sight OMG I QUICKLY RINSE IT AND LET IT DRY IN MY ROOM SO THAT I CAN WEAR IT TO MELAKA! 8D
Went to the bookfair with sakais, basically very tired but don't know why i don't wanna go to bed ahaha. Spent hours slacking on fb, twitter chatting blablabla and went to bed at 1am+ lmao.
Ok enough with the craps, so aunt came and pick us up around 7:30 and we depart to melaka woohoo! And because i was sooooo tired i slept through the whole journey xP
1st food stop: Sun Yen Duck Noodles. Well, aunt found out all these places so yea we'll just follow ._. To be honest, nothing really special about this duck noodle, just so so. Wasn't expensive though, around RM3-5.
2nd food stop: Baba Charlie Nyonya Cake. It is quite deep inside, using a part of the owner's house to sell nyonya cakes. Personally i don't really crave for this food so yea i didn't try much though they bought quite alot, but the pineapple tart was no bad :)
3rd food stop: Coconut Shake @ Klebang. Go along Jalan Klebang and you will see this small stall before Caltex. Some problems suddenly occurred to the car, luckily there was a repair shop not far away. So few of us went in and try the coconut shake, and waited for like an hour -.- boredommmmmmmmm. The coconut shake costs RM1.70 and RM2.20 for the special one (well just coconut shake FLOAT= coconut shake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream)

AND YEA OH YEAAAAAAA JONKER ROAD BABEH!
We parked our car at the parking lot infront of Casa del Rio resort. This is a freaking pretty nice awesome place to stay but their room rates are freaking pretty too :/ so we just went in and snap some photos hehe
with mummy :) |
Jonker Gallery is like so freaking awesome i love all the clothes there *___* bought a singlet & a top for myself heheh and called mummy to pick 1 for herself. ((It's so terrifying that you can actually wear the same free size shirt as your mum)) so we walk and walk and walk. Souvenir shops, bags etc etc..
And 4th food stop! DURIAN PUFF ZOMG sudden interest cause i just had that at petaling street few days back, and it tastes goooooooood. We took the 7 for RM10 "package", and IT'S FREAKING AWESOME OHGAWD FOODPORN!!! The durian thingy inside is like liquid well hard to describe hmm but you MUST eat the whole thing in one bite or else it will spill out :O
DURIAN PUFFFFFFF |
5th food stop: Jonker Road 88. They sell mee and cendol and ABC and stuff, the curry mee was greattttttt! Super spicy but so appetizing! Tried abit of cendol & ABC but the gula melaka is abit too sweet.
Food list :) |
6th food stop: Pork Satay. It's located at the end of the jonker road ohgosh so tiring to get there. The pork satay was something new, not bad at all.
And after all the food, we walked here and there to hunt for nyonya food. SADLY, we only managed to eat at the 5th shop cries. 3 shops "closed on wednesdays", 1 more was opened for private event. The food was okay, fast service and our hungry stomachs gobbled up everything.
After that, we had a walk at the Portuguese Sanctuary near the beach. The people there are really scary!! Once they see your car ready to park, around 5 people will come near to your car, and call you to eat at their food stalls. Took a picture at the sea, and tried a mango drink thingy, and drove back to hotel. Oh wait, it's a homestay actually. The outside wasn't that nice to see tbvh i was so afraid. But the inside was surprisingly much better than the outside. It was clean and well equipped, located near the tourist spots too so it's quite convenient actually. And yea good night!
Day 2
Checked out, and went to this place call Donald & Lily's for breakfast. They sell really nice nyonya food!
Ordinary roti panggang but tastes super good |
Nyonya Laksa |
Mee Siam |
Went to Makhoda Parade to walk walk after that. NADEJEEEEEEEE ohgawddddd the queue OTL kinda bored there, cause mummies keep doing their shopping /sigh/ the mall was better than expected, there's budget & branded shops. Had mc donald's for lunch lol and finallyyyyyyyyyy
TADAAAAA NADEJE! around an hour of queue zomg @@ It didn't give me a "wow so nice omgomgomg" feeling lols maybe cause this is my 3rd time eating(?) feel so paiseh for my aunts lol cause it seems like so awesome as they heard. But chocolate banana flavour is really good! My first try was at 3 Two Square, PJ with tiramisu crepe but sadly tiramisu & green tea flavour had sold out :( After the cake session, we depart for satay celup.
Mango Pudding |
Berry Berry strawberry |
Food Stop number(?): Restaurant Ban Lee Siang.
We went there around 4:30, THANK GOD. Cause everyone thought it open at 5pm, so the queue after 5 was .___. super long. Satay Celup is basically like steamboat, those lok lok roadside deep thingy. At first i thought it was some satay but deep inside some special sauce to cook LOL. It's like buffet style, take whatever you want and RM0.70 per stick.
After that, we depart home lo (you don't say?). Not to forget these cocktails :D You can only get them in Melaka! 8 bottles for RM27 (IF NOT MISTAKEN). The flavours are apple+ lemon/peach/passion fruit/guava.
And now the food journey ends. Hope to come here again with sakais/ zoo/ milukus next time :)
