Blogging during trials period cuz I'm fabulous it's just sejarah paper 3 tomorrow anyway... Though there's still paper 3 for the sciences and accounts cough accounts.

What is Famine 30?

I decided to look it up because I'll sound unprofessional if I just answer "neh you go there fast 30 hours together with your friends then go countdown lo then eat together".

OK so according to the World Vision Malaysia website, The 30-Hour Famine is a global youth movement against hunger and poverty. Participants will learn about the real-world issues of hunger and injustice as they fast and raise funds to tackle the root causes of poverty.

This was my 2nd year taking part in this event.  I went to the DIY camp at MMU last year and this year, all of us decided to join the camp at Taylor's University.

They separated us into 20groups by our names. It was sad when I know many of them got into the same group but I'm all alone.. And then I spot kahfai's name! But he couldn't make it... But Pughal took over his place soooo yea it wasn't that bad after all.

Then, we proceeded to some ice breaking games.

After some rest, we continued with another game. In this game, we need to find our new group members which consists of 6 people: grandpa, grandma, dad, mum & 2kids. The name of my ''tribe" was 纳希9. Surprisingly, I was in the same group together with Yue Lynn, Sue Wen and Sue Ning!!! I was soooooo relieved because I don't have to go through those awkward-knowing-new-group-members thingy. The grandparents of our family are Sin Ling & Jonathan.

In the first station, we are required to build a house and the family who builds the best house will be awarded some cash (game cash). 

In the second station, we need to grab some materials which were hung up high. Tbh I think we did a great job lifting Sue Ning up hahahahaha.

Later on, we were required to jump, collect water and finally the last station, the children had to split with the adults. The adults will be working in the "mine" collecting staples and stuff and prevent themselves from getting "shot" by newspaper balls whereas the kids had to go 2 floors up, frog jump/ duck walk and then write "全力以赴，踢走饥饿" & "Kick Out Hunger" with paint. I was the kid so I had to do the duck walk and OUCH MY MUSCLES HURT SO MUCH I SUFFERED MUSCLE ACHE FOR THE WHOLE WEEK D:

 We were one of the fastest group to finish our tasks hehe and we got more rest time compared to others! Later on, we went back to our original groups and had another game session. There were 20 stations and we had to play as much games as possible to collect the "info card" which will help us in the following Q&A session.

At night, a mini concert was held. There were dance groups, local singers etc. While waiting for Wee (one of the invited singers), a mini karaokae session was held. Our gang very syok-sendirily went up the stage and sang Let Her Go & 那些年 ahaha. (No photos were taken :< ) 

And then Wee came. His voice is just... urgh so good it gave me goosebumps. The machine(?) remix thingy he did was really really cool. Woei Yan's sis got chosen up to accompany him in his performance lmao it was really awkwardddddddd

The next day, everyone was awake an hour before the morning call like wtf I want more sleep urgh. We did the sinchan dance as morning exercise. And after that, we went for some outdoor shooting lololol. coughs the kinda fail heart shape coughs

Afterwards, we divided ourselves into groups of 14 and we had a problem here because there're 22 of us :/ However, we settled the problem and we had to play games to "earn" materials for the next session, fashion show.

And the other half gang sang and dressed lanlangor as ladygaga.

Around 2-3pm, we sat down and watched the live stream from the stadium because the stadium couldn't fit every single participants and Taylor's didn't make reservations earlier. We countdown-ed together and ate our breads together wheee we made it!

Later on, we went to Hometown steamboat at Bandar Puteri for dinner.

Hope we'll all participate in Famine 30 again next year. Let's make this an annual event! :D
